Day 1

Depart USA / Arrive to Rome, Milan or Pisa

  • Arrival to Rome, Milan or Pisa airport
  • Meet and Greet
  • Transfer to Florence

DAY 2

Florence

  • Historical walking tour of Florence city centre
  • Guest Lecture in Italian History (focus on Renaissance)
  • Guest Lecture in Intercultural Communication
DAY 3

Florence

  • Visit to Uffizi Gallery
  • Lunch at Farm Market (Mercato San Lorenzo)
  • Visit to The Medici Chapels
DAY 4

Bargino

  • Visit Antinori Chianti Classico winery (the passion of wine making tour). World’s Best Vineyards
  • Wine tasting
DAY 5

Rome

  • Day in Rome (transfer by train)
  • Walking tour exploring the city’s most famous landmarks (Colosseum, Piazza Navona, San Pietro, Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi, etc…)
DAY 6

Florence

  • Visit David of Michelangelo in Accademia Gallery
  • Food tour in Florence
DAY 7

Fiesole

  • Visit Roman Theatre (Teatro Romano) in Fiesole
  • Free afternoon shopping
DAY 8

Pisa

  • Day in Pisa (transfer by train)
  • Walking tour exploring the city’s most famous landmarks (ie. Pisa Tower)
  • Return to Florence
  • Farewell dinner
  • Housing is in university campus apartments where students have a private bedroom with shared kitchen facilities
  • Faculty members have a bedroom with private bathroom
  • Student Hotel Florence also available (private room ensuite)
  • Breakfast is included for the entire program
  • Some group dinners are included
  • Transport is by private coach for longer journeys
  • Public transport is used for shorter journeys
  • Participants will walk a lot so good comfortable shoes are a must!
